For electricity metering, for example, we offer smart meters. These intelligent and networked meters receive digital meter reading data and evaluate it. This makes electricity consumption easily visible - in real time and retrospectively. Since 2018, consumers with an annual consumption of more than 10,000 kWh and operators of a CHP plant have been obliged to use smart meters in their energy systems. From 2020, households and businesses with an annual consumption of more than 6,000 kWh must also use smart meters. The goal: by 2032, smart meters are to be in use throughout Germany.
