December / 2020CENERO donates computer equipment to further the education of young people in Sierra Leone

We remain committed to improving the prospects of young people in Kenema, Sierra Leone. A solar project was completed with our support last year; now a second building complex in the new multifunctional youth centre has been constructed. The Berlin-based association Fambul Tik and its partner YAD in Sierra Leone are in the process of setting up a computer training centre that will prepare young people for careers in professional office management.

As opposed to the norm in Sierra Leone, occupational training is free of charge for the young people here. This makes supporting this initiative all the more important. From our long-standing relationship with the association, we have taken up this issue and donated ten fully equipped computer workstations, because we like to channel energy into helping people to help themselves. This motivates us in our daily work as well.

A total of 25 PCs/notebooks and a projector/projector screen are needed. We would like to invite you to join this project and finance more workstations:
